Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta any kind you like
- 3 tablespoons butter salted or unsalted
- ½ cup onion diced, yellow or white
- ¾ cup tomato diced
- ½ cup pepper yellow, red, or orange
- ¾ cup asparagus
- ¾ cup peas frozen
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup white wine or broth (chicken or vegetable)
- 1 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¾ cup Parmesan Cheese shaved or grated
- 1 tablespoon basil fresh, chopped, optional
- 1 tablespoon parsley fresh, chopped, optional

Instructions
- Bring pasta water to a boil, add pasta and cook until al dente while you prepare the vegetables and sauce.
- In a large saucepan, heat butter on medium heat until melted.
- Add onions and saute until slightly softened about 4 minutes.
- Add the peppers and tomatoes. Saute until slightly softened about more 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic, peas, asparagus, salt and pepper.
- Turn heat to medium-high and add white wine, scraping up any brown bits on the bottom of the pan. Cook until the wine is reduced and almost all gone about 3 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and cream and simmer 6-8 minutes, until reduced and thickened.
- Add the pasta and toss to combine with the sauce and vegetables.
- Top with grated or shaved parmesan and chopped fresh parsley and basil (optional).
