Pineapple Cheese Ball
Description
This Pineapple Cheese Ball starts by mixing cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, pineapple, finely chopped green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese. After chilling to firm and marry the flavors, the mixture is shaped into a ball. Its exterior is coated with coconut toasted in a skillet until lightly browned and mixed with chopped almonds, providing a crisp, nutty contrast.
The cheese ball offers a creamy and slightly sweet bite from the pineapple combined with the sharpness of cheddar and the freshness of green onions. The lightly spiced seasoning balances the overall flavor.
Typically served as a party appetizer, the cheese ball pairs well with buttery crackers, enabling easy spreading and enjoying as a finger food.
For convenience, you can prepare the cheese ball in advance by chilling it wrapped in plastic wrap and apply the coconut and nut coating just before serving to maintain its crispness.
