Ingredients

Servings
  • ¾ cups water warm
  • ½ cup mashed potatoes leftover
  • 2 tbsp melted cooled butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 2¼ - 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 active dry yeast package

Instructions

  1. Place the warmed water, warmed leftover mashed potatoes, melted butter, sugar, salt, flour, and yeast into a bread machine pan in that order. Turn the bread machine to the dough setting and push start.
  2. Once the dough cycle has been completed (mine lasts 1½ hours).
  3. Deflate the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Form the dough into a jelly roll and place it into a loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
  4. Cover with a cloth and let rise, until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Place the loaf pan into the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before putting on a cooling rack to continue cooling.
  8. Slice and serve slathered in butter. Enjoy.
