- 2¼ teaspoons (1 packet) instant yeast
- ¼ cup (2½ oz/71 g) maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup (4 floz/120 ml) milk, lukewarm
