Red, White and Blue Dirt Cups

Easy no-bake 4th of July Dirt Cups are the perfect summer dessert or treat for kids! Layers of crushed Oreos, pudding and topped with gummy worms.

  • 2 boxes cheesecake pudding 3.4 ounces each
  • 4 cups milk
  • 19 Oreo cookies crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon red gel food dye
  • ¼ teaspoon blue gel food dye
  • 8 red and blue gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Place both boxes of pudding in a large mixing bowl and add the milk and whisk until pudding has thickened.
  2. Place 1 cup of the pudding in a separate bowl and 1 ½ cups of the pudding in yet another bowl.
  3. Add the blue dye to the bowl with only 1 cup pudding and until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Next, add the red dye to the bowl with 1 ½ cups pudding in it. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
  5. Line up your plastic cups. Place 1 tablespoon crushed Oreos in the bottom of the cup and spread out evenly.
  6. Place 2 tablespoons of the blue pudding on top, and gently spread even.
  7. Add another tablespoon of crushed oreo and spread even again.
  8. Add 3 tablespoons white pudding as the next layer and spread evenly.
  9. Add 1 ½ tablespoons as the next layer. Spread evenly.
  10. Add 4 tablespoons of the red pudding as the next layer.
  11. For the last and final layer, add 2 tablespoons of crushed Oreo.
  12. Top with two gummy worms and one flag per cup and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Cover dirt cups with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to four days. The cookies will get slightly mushy from soaking up moisture from the pudding.
