Rice Cooker Quick White Rice
Description
The recipe uses 2 cups of white rice measured with the rice cooker’s included cup and 4 cups of water, filling to the designated Line 2 inside the inner pot for proper hydration. Rinsing the rice before cooking removes excess surface starch, which helps avoid clumping. After adding water, the pot is placed inside the rice cooker, the lid closed securely, and the rice function started.
The rice cooker runs for about 10 minutes until it finishes, automatically switching to a keep warm mode. At this point, fluffing the rice with a fork or spatula aerates the grains, making the texture lighter and preventing sticking. The rice is ready to serve immediately.
This recipe is designed for use with a specific 20-cup Aroma Digital Rice Cooker, so water levels correlate to its markings, but it is adaptable to other rice cookers with attention to their water lines and measurements.
Ingredients
- 2 cups white rice Using the measuring cup provided by your rice cooker.
- 4 cups water filled to Line 2 in the rice cooker
