Sour Cream Rolls

Sour Cream Rolls are flavored with onion salt and dried green onion to add a sour cream and onion spin to your holiday table. Even better? These rolls are made in a muffin tin so they’re easy as can be.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 envelope yeast 2 1/4 teaspoons, Fleischmann's RapidRise brand
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons green onion dried
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg large

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt, onion salt, and dried green onions in a large mixer bowl.
  2. Heat sour cream, water and butter until very warm (120°to 130°F).
  3. Gradually add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add egg and remaining 1-1/4 cups flour to make a soft batter.
  4. Spoon evenly into 12 greased (2-1/2 inch) muffin cups. Cover; let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 15 to 18 minutes or until done. Remove from pans; cool on wire rack.
