Southern Peach Bread
Description
This recipe combines peeled, diced peaches with oil, sugar, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla to create a moist batter. This wet mixture is stirred together with flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined to maintain tenderness. Baking in mini or large loaf pans yields a golden crust and a soft interior.
The bread is versatile for breakfast or snack time, showcasing seasonal peaches subtly enhanced by the creamy tang of sour cream and the sweetness of sugar. Baking times vary depending on pan size, ensuring proper doneness without dryness.
Allow the bread to cool before slicing to prevent crumbling and to better appreciate the tender texture and peach presence throughout the loaf.
