Spinach Artichoke Bites
Description
Spinach Artichoke Bites feature crescent roll dough pressed into mini muffin tins to create small pastry shells. Each is filled with a spoonful of spinach artichoke dip and baked until the dough is golden and the filling is hot. The process is straightforward, requiring minimal assembly and baking time at 375°F. The result is a bite-sized treat with a crisp, buttery exterior and a creamy, flavorful center dominated by the classic artichoke and spinach combination.
The texture balances the delicate crunch of the crescent dough with the smooth, slightly tangy dip. These bites are well suited as finger foods during gatherings or as an easy snack that can be prepared in advance and warmed before serving.
If artichokes are not preferred, the recipe notes suggest substituting any favorite spinach dip, allowing flexibility in flavor while maintaining the convenient format. Warm serving is recommended to keep the dough crisp and the filling creamy.
Ingredients
- 1 tube crescent roll dough 8 ounces
- 1 container spinach artichoke dip 10 ounces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a mini muffin pan.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and gently press the seams together. Cut the dough into 18 rectangles. Place each rectangle into a cup of a mini muffin tin. Do not worry if the dough does not go up all sides of the cup.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach artichoke dip into the center of each dough-lined muffin cup. Each one should hold a little less than 1 tablespoon of the dip.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the dip is hot.
- Immediately remove the bites from the muffin tin. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can replace the spinach artichoke dip with your preferred spinach dip if artichokes aren't desired.
