Strawberry Banana Smoothie

This Strawberry Banana Smoothie blends fresh raspberries, strawberries, and frozen banana with almond milk and honey for a balanced and refreshing drink. The inclusion of fresh basil or mint adds a subtle herbaceous note, while ice ensures a chilled, smooth texture. It's suited for a light breakfast or snack, customizable by adjusting sweetness or liquid thickness.

Description

Combining a cup of strawberries and raspberries each with half a frozen banana, the smoothie uses almond milk and honey for sweetness and creaminess. Fresh herbs, like basil or mint, are optional additions that introduce a fresh, green undertone. Ice is blended in to chill and slightly thicken the drink. Blending until smooth creates a uniformly textured beverage with sweet and tart berry flavors complemented by mellow banana.

The smoothie serves well as a nutritious and cooling snack or a light breakfast complement. Adjust the almond milk quantity to thin or thicken the consistency as preferred, and sweeten further with additional honey if the berries are too tart for your taste. The optional straining step removes seeds if a smoother mouthfeel is desired.

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ½ banana frozen

  • cups ice
