Instructions

Strawberry Margarita On The Rocks

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses. Dip the edges of the glasses in salt.
  2. Add fresh strawberries, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup to a blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes, until smooth. Taste and add more sweetener to your liking if necessary.
  3. Fill glasses with ice and pour strawberry margarita mixture over ice. Garnish with lime wedges and serve immediately.

Frozen Strawberry Margarita

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses. Dip the edges of the glasses in salt.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup, and ice to a blender. Blend until slushy. Taste and add more sweetener to your liking if necessary.
  3. Pour strawberry margaritas into prepared glasses. Garnish with lime wedes and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don't have agave syrup? You can use honey, simple syrup or plain granulated sugar instead.
  • If you can't find any fresh strawberries or if they're out of season, you can use frozen strawberries instead. Frozen strawberries are typically picked and frozen at their peak ripeness! Use them frozen to make frozen margaritas, or let them thaw and to make an on-the-rocks version.
  • If you're serving this frozen, it's a good idea to use frozen strawberries instead of fresh to get the mixture extra slushy without having to use too much extra ice. You can either buy sliced strawberries already frozen from your local grocery store, or you can slice and freeze them yourself.
