Strawberry Martini

Report
The Strawberry Martini pairs vodka or gin with frozen strawberries and a touch of simple syrup and dry vermouth to create a smooth, fruity cocktail. The rim is decorated with honey and cane sugar for added sweetness and texture. Fresh strawberries garnish the glass, enhancing the presentation and flavor. Chilling the glass before serving helps maintain a crisp, refreshing experience.

Description

This Strawberry Martini combines frozen strawberries, vodka or strawberry-flavored gin, simple syrup, and dry vermouth or bitters blended until smooth. The use of frozen strawberries provides a fresh berry flavor along with a chilled texture. The cocktail is served in coupe glasses rimmed with honey and cane sugar, adding a sweet, slightly crunchy contrast to the smooth drink.

Before pouring, the glasses are dipped in honey and sugar to create a flavorful rim that complements the berry notes and enhances the sip. Fresh strawberries adorn the cocktail for visual appeal and a burst of fresh fruitiness.

Chilling the martini glasses in advance ensures the drink remains cool longer and adds a frosty touch. Alternative preparation includes using homemade strawberry simple syrup for a smoother texture and a different balance of sweetness.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 5 oz vodka or gin, strawberry flavor
  • 1.5 oz simple syrup more to taste
  • 0.5 oz dry vermouth or flavored bitters
  • 1 cup strawberry frozen
  • 2 strawberry for garnish, fresh

Instructions

  1. Add frozen strawberries, vodka, simple syrup and bitters to a food processor/blender.
  2. Pulse until smooth.
  3. Take a flat plate and drizzle honey on it in a circle. Try to match the size/shape of the coupe glass rim. On another plate, spread the cane sugar.
  4. Dip each coupe glass into the honey, ensuring the rim is coated and sticky, and then dip it into the sugar.
  5. Pour the Strawberry Martini into rimmed coupe glasses and enjoy!

Notes

  • Chill martini glasses in the fridge or freezer 30 minutes before serving for a frosty presentation.
  • For a smoother drink, prepare homemade strawberry simple syrup by heating equal parts water and sugar with fresh strawberries, then strain and cool before use.
