Ingredients
- 1½ pounds fresh ripe strawberries, hulled
- 1 tablespoon super fine sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1½ tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest from 1 medium lemon
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine strawberries, sugar, honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Blend until smooth, about 20 to 30 seconds. Strawberry flavor and sweetness will vary, so taste sauce and add more sugar or honey, if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate.
Notes
- Sauce will keep well in the refrigerator, in an airtight container (I like to use a glass jar), for up to 5 days.
- Top your yogurt or ice cream, stir into lemonade, or drizzle over cheesecake, pound cake, waffles, or pancakes.
