Sweet Potato Latte
Description
This Sweet Potato Latte recipe starts by cooking a sweet potato until soft by roasting, air frying, steaming, or boiling. Once cooked, the sweet potato is peeled and pureed to about half a cup. The puree is then blended with milk, maple syrup (or a preferred sweetener), vanilla extract, and a pinch of ground cinnamon until smooth.
The mixture is gently heated on the stove over medium-low heat until warmed through, stirring frequently to prevent sticking or burning. The resulting latte is creamy and naturally sweetened, with a subtle hint of spice from cinnamon and depth from vanilla.
This beverage can be customized by choosing milk or non-dairy alternatives to suit dietary preferences. It makes a comforting warm drink that leverages the natural flavors of sweet potato in a smooth, latte-style presentation. A sprinkle of cinnamon on top serves as a simple garnish.
