Ingredients
Cocktail
- 2 oz tequila
- 4 oz orange juice
- ½ oz grenadine
Garnishes
- Orange slices
- maraschino cherries with stems
Instructions
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour tequila and orange juice into glass.
- Stir to combine.
- Slowly pour in grenadine around the outside edge of the glass for presentation. Eventually it will sink and gradually rise to mix in with the other ingredients.
- Garnish with an orange slice and cherry with stem. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Can you make a big batch? In order to give the drink the layered look, you can’t really mix a big batch. It’s better to pour each drink separately.
- Should you use fresh squeezed orange juice? For the freshest, best flavor it’s worth using fresh-squeezed orange juice but not a requirement! For an easy drink, use prepared low-pulp orange juice.
