Thai Bourbon and Ginger Cocktail Recipe

The Thai Bourbon and Ginger Cocktail blends bourbon and wild lime leaf-infused gin with fresh orange and lime juices, topped with spicy ginger beer. The layered citrus and ginger flavors create a refreshing, balanced drink with aromatic herbal notes from the infused gin, served chilled over ice.

Description

This cocktail mixes 2 ounces each of bourbon and gin infused with wild lime leaves, along with fresh juice of one orange and half a lime. These ingredients are shaken with ice to combine before being strained into highball glasses filled with fresh ice. Each glass is then topped with 3 ounces of ginger beer, adding spice and effervescence to the drink. A lime wheel garnish complements the citrus aroma and presentation.

The infusion of gin with wild lime leaves imparts a subtle herbal and citrusy aroma unique to this cocktail. The orange and lime juices introduce fresh acidity that contrasts with bourbon's warmth and smoothness, while the ginger beer’s spiciness and bubbles enhance the drink’s complexity and refreshing quality.

This cocktail is best enjoyed freshly mixed to preserve the brightness of the citrus and fizz of the ginger beer. Leftover ingredients, especially the infused gin, should be stored separately in the fridge and combined fresh for each serving to maintain the intended flavor balance.
