Three Bean Salad

Three Bean Salad features a mix of canned green beans, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans tossed with diced red onion in a tangy dressing made from white wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and olive oil. The beans are rinsed and combined with the dressing to create a crisp, refreshing salad with balanced acidity and subtle sweetness, seasoned with salt and pepper. It’s a classic side dish that complements grilled meats, sandwiches, and picnics.

Description

This Three Bean Salad brings together canned green beans, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans, gently rinsed to remove excess liquid and combined in a large bowl with diced red onion. The dressing is a simple vinaigrette crafted from white wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and olive oil, whisked until incorporated. Once added to the beans and onions, everything is tossed to evenly coat each ingredient.

The salad offers a contrast of textures between the tender cooked beans and the crisp onion, while the tangy and slightly sweet dressing brightens the flavors. Salt and black pepper are added to taste, resulting in a balanced dish that complements various meals.

This salad serves well chilled, making it a handy accompaniment for summer barbecues, potlucks, or as a refreshing side throughout the year. It can be prepared ahead to allow flavors to meld further in the refrigerator before serving.
