Ti’ Punch

Ti’ punch, meaning “little punch” in Creole, is a rum-based drink popular in Haiti, Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana and other French-speaking Caribbean islands.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 oz. white cane sugar syrup (or brown)
  • 3 oz. Barbancourt rum white
  • ¼ whole lime
  • lime unpeeled), for serving, a few slices

Instructions

  1. Pour the cane sugar syrup and the Barbancourt white rum directly into the glass.
  2. Add the lime juice and zest.
  3. Stir with a cocktail spoon.
  4. Serve as is or with ice.
  5. Add 2 to 3 slices of lime to the rim of the glass and into the drink.
