Tuna Tartare With Avocado Appetizer

This delicious tuna tartare recipe is made with avocado and dressed in an Asian sauce. The perfect healthy appetizer served on top of a cracker.

Ingredients

Servings

For Tartare

  • 1 lb tuna small diced, sushi grade
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeded and diced
  • 3 green onions thinly sliced (green parts only)
  • 1 avocado small diced
  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds whites are fine too
  • salt
  • black pepper

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons oy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • lime juice of 1
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar

Assembly:

  • 1 box crackers
  • microgreens to garnish (optional

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, place the diced tuna, jalapeno, green onions, avocado and black sesame seeds
  2. In a smaller bowl mix the soy, sesame oil, lime juice, and rice wine vinegar until completely incorporated
  3. Pour the sauce into the tuna mixture.
  4. Gently incorporate everything together with a spoon. Add salt and pepper until the tartare is well seasoned
  5. Place in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes for all the flavors to come together
  6. Remove from fridge and spoon tartare into each lentil cracker
  7. Garnish with micro greens
  8. Enjoy!
