Wassail Recipe
Description
The Wassail Recipe consists of a dry mix combining Tang powder, lemonade mix, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves. These ingredients are blended evenly and stored in an airtight container until ready to use. When serving, several spoonfuls of the mix are stirred into an 8-ounce mug of hot water, creating a lightly spiced, sweet, citrus-flavored drink. The vanilla adds smoothness while cinnamon and cloves provide warm spice notes.
Because the mix is dry and shelf-stable, it can be prepared well in advance and portioned out as needed. This makes it practical for producing many servings without repeated preparation. For larger groups, the mixed drink can be kept warm on the stove or in a slow cooker, making it convenient for serving during social settings or winter holiday events.

- 2 packets lemonade mix dry (the kind you add sugar to, Kool-Aid brand
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon

- In a large bowl, add ½ cup of the Tang and the 2 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until everything is evenly distributed. Store in an airtight container.
