White Bean Hummus

This simple hummus recipe is made with white beans and fresh basil for a light, summer dip.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 15 ounce cannellini beans rinsed and drained, or Northern White Beans, canned
  • 1 c basil fresh
  • 1-2 oz pine nuts
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • lemon juice of 1
  • 1.2 tsp salt more to taste
  • ½ c olive oil

Instructions

  1. Place first 4 ingredients in a food processor and begin to puree slowly pouring in olive oil as you go.
  2. Once you have reached the consistency of a smooth, slightly thick dip add the lemon juice and puree the mixture together.
  3. Add salt to taste.
  4. Serve with vegetables, pita bread, or crackers.
