Winter Aperol Spritz

The Winter Aperol Spritz is a festive variation of the classic cocktail, blending Aperol, prosecco, cranberry juice, and club soda, garnished with orange and rosemary for color and aroma. This drink balances sweet, bitter, and citrus flavors with crisp bubbles, making it suitable for cold weather gatherings or holiday celebrations.

Description

Winter Aperol Spritz adapts the popular Italian spritz by incorporating cranberry juice alongside Aperol and prosecco, adding a tart fruitiness and deeper color. The addition of either soda water or cranberry-flavored sparkling water introduces a light effervescence that balances the bittersweet and citrus notes. Garnishes of an orange wedge, orange zest twist, and rosemary sprig add visual appeal and a mild aromatic dimension.

The cocktail is assembled in a glass with ice, combining the measured spirits and mixers to create a refreshing drink with moderate alcohol content. The rosemary and orange zest provide subtle herbal and citrus fragrance enhancing the sensory experience.

This spritz works well as a festive aperitif during winter months, offering a seasonal twist on a crowd-pleasing beverage. It can be served before meals or at holiday parties where lighter cocktails are appreciated.
