5-Ingredient Chicken Parmesan Sandwich

  • 4 frozen breaded chicken patties (such as Tyson or Just Bare brand)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1-2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 sandwich rolls or 1 loaf of Italian bread, split horizontally and toasted

Instructions

  1. Bake the chicken patties in the oven or air fryer according to package directions.
  2. When the chicken is done, top each piece with about 2 tablespoons (or up to ¼ cup) of marinara sauce.
  3. Sprinkle about ¼ cup shredded mozzarella and 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan on top of each piece of chicken.
  4. Switch the oven to BROIL. Place the chicken under the broiler for about 1-3 minutes, just until the cheese melts.
  5. Serve the patties on toasted rolls or Italian bread.

Notes

  • Instead of packaged, shredded mozzarella, use sliced fresh mozzarella or sliced provolone cheese on top of the chicken.
  • Serve the chicken parm over ziti, spaghetti, or penne pasta instead of in sandwich rolls.
  • Make as many (or as few) sandwiches as you need. This meal can easily be tweaked to serve just one or two people!
