5-Minute Burrito Sauce Recipe

The best burrito owes much of its magic to the sauce. Believe it or not, Burrito Sauce can make or break your burrito experience. This homemade creamy, savory, and spicy sauce plays a key role in delivering the perfect and saucy bite of your burritos.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup PLAIN yogurt or sour cream
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper * (add more if you prefer more heat)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Serve with burritos. Enjoy!
- Store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Notes
- *If you prefer a more authentic burrito sauce, use 2 tablespoons of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce instead of the cayenne pepper.
