Ingredients
- 2 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
- 2 2 cups whole milk
- ¼ ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 3 ounces bourbon, dark rum, whiskey, or Bailey's
- Whipped cream and shaved chocolate or cocoa powder to serve

Instructions
- Add the cocoa powder and brown sugar to a small pot over medium-high heat. Pour a splash of milk into the pot and whisk it until the cocoa powder dissolves. Whisk in the remaining milk.
- When the milk is steaming hot (but not boiling) remove the pot from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Whisk until they dissolve.
- Pour 1 ½ ounces of your choice of alcohol into each glass and then top with the hot chocolate.
- Serve with some whipped cream on top and either a little shaved or a sprinkle of cocoa powder over top.
