Ingredients
- 6 to 7 fresh ripe guavas
- 4 cups water
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice optional
Instructions
- Start by washing the guavas thoroughly. Then, remove the ends and slice them in halves.
- Place the guava into a blender and add the 4 cups water. Blend until you have a smooth puree.
- Using a fine mesh strainer placed over a large container, strain the puree to remove the seeds. Transfer the juice to a pitchen, add the ⅓ cup sugar and mix until it dissolves.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice if using any, mix and taste. If it needs more sugar, add a little bit at the time to your liking.
- Refrigerate the Agua de Guayaba until it's well chilled. Serve in a glass with ice and enjoy!
