Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 sweet potato
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 pinch salt sea salt
  • 2 pinch black pepper ground

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.
  2. Wash and pat dry 2 Sweet potatoes. Prick all over with a fork.
  3. Rub 2 teaspoon Olive oil all over the potatoes and season with 2 pinch Sea salt and 2 pinch Ground black pepper.
  4. Put into the preheated air fryer and cook for 30 minutes.
  5. Let the potatoes cool for a few minutes so they can be handled. Slice open and fluff up the insides with a fork. Add your toppings as desired.

Notes

  • Choose sweet potatoes that are similar in size for even cooking.
  • To check if the air fryer sweet potatoes are done, insert a fork or skewer into the centre. It should slide in easily.
  • Remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Slice them open and fluff the insides with a fork before serving.
  • If you're in a hurry, you can start the sweet potatoes in the microwave. Pierce and microwave on high for 5-6 minutes before transferring to the air fryer to finish cooking and crisp up the skin.
  • If you have a small air fryer, you might need to cook the sweet potatoes in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  • To ensure even cooking of the air fryer baked sweet potato, flip the sweet potatoes halfway through the cooking time. Use tongs to handle them safely.
  • For an even crispier skin, after the initial cooking time, brush the sweet potatoes with a bit more olive oil and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Don't forget to pierce holes in the sweet potatoes, otherwise they will burst in the air fryer.
