Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness; this will ensure even cooking.
  3. In a small bowl, combine all the spices. Rub your chicken breasts with the spice mix and the oil. Allow the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes on the counter.
  4. Place in the preheated air fryer without overlapping (cook them in batches, because overcrowding the air fryer will not cook them evenly).
  5. Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway. Over the last 2 minutes of cooking, baste the chicken with the BBQ sauce.
