Air Fryer Parsnip Fries

Air frying parsnips doesn’t get any easier or tastier than air fryer parsnip fries or as us Brits call them air fryer parsnip chips. You will love the easy prep, simply flavouring, even crisp, and the fast cook time.

Ingredients

  • 3 large parsnips
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tsp basil
  • 1 Tsp parsley
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel your parsnips and chop the tops off them. Then cut them into 3rds. Then slice them into equal sized parsnip fries.
  2. Load the parsnip fries into a bowl with the other ingredients and mix with your hands until the parsnips are well coated.
  3. Load the parsnips into the air fryer basket and air fry your parsnips for 12 minutes at 160c/320f, shake and then air fry for a further 5 minutes at 180c/360f.
  4. Serve your parsnip fries with ketchup, mayonnaise or your other favourite fries dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Quantity. I recommend cooking up to 4 large parsnips at once in the air fryer basket. Anymore than this and the air fryer will end up overcrowded and you wont achieve perfectly crispy parsnip fries.
  • Fork. I recommend at 12 minutes doing a fork test and checking if your parsnips are fork tender. If they are not, do an extra 4 minutes before increasing the temperature for crisping.
