Air Fryer Prime Rib Roast

Air Fryer Rib Of Beef – easy, quick and foolproof prime rib cooked to perfection in your air fryer. Perfect for festive occasions!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ kg (3.3 pounds) boneless prime rib boneless rib of beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper freshly ground
- 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning or see notes

Instructions
PREP THE BEEF
- Take your beef joint out of the fridge for 30 minutes prior to cooking to allow it to come to room temperature. Pat dry and drizzle with olive oil then season liberally with salt and pepper, a good 10 turns of the mill per side. Sprinkle with the seasoning.
ROAST IN AIR FRYER
- Preheat the air fryer ( I used my Cosori XXL) 400°F / 200°C for 10 minutes. Place the beef in the air fryer basket and cook for seven minutes per side (14 minutes total).
- Reduce the temperature to 350°F / 180°C and cook for a further 15 minutes per side. Check the core temperature with an instant read thermometer inserting the probe in the middle thickest part. If the beef is not quite done then continue cooking for a few more minutes (3-5).
REST THE BEEF
- Transfer the beef to a plate and cover loosely with foil. The temperature will continue to rise slightly as it rests – check my roasting time chart to ensure roasting perfection.
CARVE AND ENJOY
- Rest for 20-30 minutes then slice against the grain and serve with your favorite side dishes, such as my Air Fryer Yorkshire Puddings and Perfect Roast Potatoes!

- BEEF ROAST TEMPERATURE CHART
- I suggest you cook prime rib rare or medium rare. Take the beef out of the air fryer when the temperature register about three degrees LOWER than the desired target temperature to allow for it to rise slightly as it rests.
- SEASONING OPTIONS
- You can use your favorite steak or roast seasoning blends. Alternatively, mix together one teaspoon each of paprika, brown sugar, mixed herbs, mustard powder and garlic powder.
