Air Fryer Salmon Bites

Report
Air Fryer Salmon Bites feature small chunks of salmon seasoned with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper, cooked at high heat in an air fryer. This method yields tender bites with a mildly spiced exterior and flaky interior. The quick air frying creates crispy edges while keeping the fish moist, making it a convenient snack or appetizer that highlights the salmon's natural flavor with minimal seasoning.

Description

This recipe uses 2cm chunks of salmon coated evenly with olive oil, paprika, salt, and black pepper. The salmon pieces are cooked in a single layer in an air fryer at 200°C (400°F) for a total of 7 minutes, flipping halfway through. This technique crisps the surface of the fish while maintaining a tender, juicy interior.

The seasoning is simple and allows the fresh salmon flavor to shine through with a subtle smoky note from the paprika. The air fryer’s circulating hot air crisps the exterior without needing extra breading or frying oil.

Salmon bites make a practical snack or appetizer, suitable for serving on their own or with dips. The portion size and uniform chunk size help ensure even cooking and consistent texture.

Tips include ensuring the salmon pieces are spaced apart to allow airflow, optionally preheating the air fryer, and removing the bites promptly after cooking to avoid overcooking. Salmon skin can be crisped separately in the air fryer for a nutritious snack. Using a silicone liner can simplify clean-up, and cooking in batches may be needed depending on air fryer size.
