Air fryer stuffed portobello mushrooms are a tasty game day snack. Hearty mushrooms are stuffed with cheese, bacon & jalapeños for spicy jalapeño popper taste in a mushroom.

Ingredients
- 8 large portobello mushrooms
- 12 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 teaspoons chili lime seasoning
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup bell pepper diced
- 3 jalapeños chopped and deveined
- 1/3 cup Bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon onion finely chopped
Breading:
- 1 1/2 cups crackers crushed
- 2 teaspoons chili lime seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
Instructions
- Wash mushrooms by wiping them with a damp paper towel. Pat them dry and remove the stems.
- Dice the bell pepper, jalapeño peppers, and onion. Make sure to remove the seeds and ribs from the jalapeños. Crumble the bacon.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chili lime seasoning, garlic, and salt and stir. You can use a food processor or mixer to combine the ingredients.
- Add the bell, jalapeño peppers, bacon, and onions to the cream cheese mixture.
- Generously stuff the inside of the mushroom caps with the cheese mixture.
- In a medium bowl, combine crushed crackers with chili lime seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
- Beat eggs and milk in another mixing bowl.
- Dunk mushrooms into egg mixture; then dredge in cracker mixture. Make sure the mushroom is covered with the breading.
- Preheat air fryer at 370 degrees F for 3 minutes.
- Put the breaded mushrooms in the air fryer basket. Keep them in a single layer and cook them in batches if necessary. Air fry the mushrooms in the air fryer at 370 degrees F for 15 minutes til the outside is golden brown and crispy.

- For a crispier finish, lightly spray tops and sides of mushrooms with olive oil spray
- Soften the cream cheese to room temperature before starting.
