Ingredients
- 1 pizza crust 12 inch thin pizza crust
- 21 oz apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened, divided
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup flour all purpose
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 tablespoon Caramel sauce for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove the crust from its package and place onto a pizza pan or round baking sheet.
- Open the can of pie filling, and using a knife inserted into the can, coarsely chop the apples into smaller, bite-sized pieces
- Pour the prepared apple pie filling onto the pizza crust, spreading it evenly across the surface, stopping at about ¼- ½ inches from the edge. Set aside.
- Make the topping. In a large mixing bowl, combine ¼ c. unsalted butter, light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and cinnamon. Use a pastry cutter or fork to combine until the mixture is well-combined and crumbly.
- Add the old-fashioned oats and shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture.
- Generously sprinkle the topping over the apple pie filling. Gently press the topping into the filling to help secure it into place.
- Bake in a 350-degree F oven for 25 minutes or until the pizza is cooked through, the pie filling is bubbling, and the crumb topping is slightly golden-brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and allow up to 45 minutes for the pizza to cool for up to 45 minutes.
- While the pizza cools, prepare the icing. Whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, ½ c. unsalted butter, slowly drizzle the heavy cream until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Drizzle icing across pizza… don’t forget—pizza should be cooled. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pizza. Using a pizza cutter, large knife, or pizza rocker, slice the pizza, serve, and enjoy!
