Instructions
- Put the apple pie filling in a bowl and use a knife to slice through the apples to make the pieces smaller.
- Divide each biscuit into two parts.
- Roll each piece of dough into a ball, then flatten them to ¼ inch thick.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of filling into the middle of the circle of dough.
- Pinch the dough together around the filling. Repeat for all the dough.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom. Place the bites in the air fryer basket, keeping about 1 inch between them.
- Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.
- While they cook, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in another bowl and set aside.
- When they are golden brown, remove the apple bites and let them cool slightly.
- Dip each apple bite in the melted butter and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Let them cool on a wire rack for a little longer.
Notes
- I like to use the flaky-style biscuits, so you can peel the layers apart.
- You can use apple pie spice instead of cinnamon.
- The apple slices in the pie filling are large for this recipe. So put it in a bowl and use a knife to dice them smaller. Don't try to cut the filling on a cutting board; it will get very messy.
- Don't overstuff your apple pie bombs since it can lead to a big mess in the air fryer.
