Baked Parmesan Mushrooms
Description
This preparation starts by carefully slicing cremini mushrooms thinly before tossing them in olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest, minced garlic, dried thyme, and grated Parmesan cheese. The lemon adds a bright citrus note that complements the savory earthiness of the mushrooms and cheese.
Baked at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes, the mushrooms become tender and slightly caramelized. Tossing occasionally during baking helps cook them evenly and develop a light golden brown color. The seasoning with Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper balances the flavors and enhances the natural mushroom taste.
These mushrooms are best served warm as a side dish alongside proteins or as part of a vegetable medley. Their combination of sharp, fresh lemon and cheesy richness makes them a flavorful yet simple option.
