These BBQ chicken burgers require just a few basic ingredients and come out so juicy and flavorful!

Ingredients
Burgers:
- 1 pound ground chicken breast
- ¼ cup cheddar cheese grated
- ¼ cup prepared bbq sauce homemade or store-bought
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
For serving:
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
Toppings:
- coleslaw
- pickled red onions
- Extra cheddar cheese
- extra BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Mix together burger ingredients in a medium bowl until evenly combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape burger mixture into 4 equal sized patties.
- Heat canola oil over medium heat. in a large skillet Add the patties and cook 6-7 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 5-6 minutes, until cooked through.
- Serve on burger buns with desired toppings.
Notes
- You can grill these if you prefer. Just be sure not to use a super high heat setting as ground chicken can burn rather quickly.
