Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons salted butter melted
- 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 20 Bit-O-Honey candies
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips optional
Instructions
- Melt and brown butter in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, until it turns golden and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare an 8x8 glass pan by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the browned, cooled butter and sugar using a hand mixer.
- Incorporate eggs and vanilla into the butter-sugar mixture until combined.
- Add salt, baking powder, and flour to the mixture and combine until just integrated.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- While baking, place the Bit-O-Honey candies in a microwave-safe bowl with the milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals until the candies are melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted Bit-O-Honey caramel over the partially baked blondie. Sprinkle the caramel with white chocolate chips.
- Distribute the remaining blondie dough across the top in small spoonfuls.
- Continue to bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, until the top has turned golden and the batter is set. Do not use a toothpick to test for doneness as the caramel center will remain gooey. Instead, look for firm edges and center.
- Let cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
