Instructions
- On a charcuterie board, wooden cutting board, or large platter, place the powdered donuts as markers on both where you want the top of your skull and the base of your skull to be.
- Place one donut on each side where you want the cheekbones of the skull to be.
- Put the blueberries on where the eyes should be, making them look as circular as possible.
- Lay out the chocolate chips in a triangle shape to form the nose.
- Add the unwrapped rolos where the mouth of the skull should be.
- Encircle one blueberry eye and top of the nose with mini marshmallows.
- Fill in the other blueberry eye with a mixture of white chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
- Add the popcorn to form the shape of the bottom half of the skull face and around the rolos to form the mouth.
- Either leave the bottom donuts as the base of the skull or remove them.
- If desired, you can add decorations like fake plastic spiders, candy corn, and powdered donuts around the edges of the skull.
Notes
- Keep It Fresh: As much as possible, assemble the skull snack board close to serving time. This way, the ingredients look beautiful and are still crunchy - particularly the popcorn!
- Use Fresh Ingredients: For best results, always use the freshest ingredients - especially the fruits!
- Estimate How Many Guests You’ll Have: It’s good to estimate how many guests you’ll serve this Halloween snack board to. This way, you’ll know how big a board you need to use or if you need to make a second set!
- Use a Skull Pattern: If necessary, feel free to use a printable skull pattern as your guide to create this look. This will help make your snack board appealing and impressive.
