Instructions
- Get out and measure your ingredients.
- Preheat oven to 375°. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
- Roll out pizza dough on the parchment paper. Using a rolling pin roll it out slightly, you don’t want the dough to be thin. You can gently stretch it out evenly with your hands as well. You want a nice even rectangle shaped dough.
- Turn the dough sideways. Cut the dough into 3 even pieces. (shown in picture)
- Spread a couple Tablespoons down the middle of each section. Don’t go to the edges.
- Place 6 large pepperoni over the sauce, overlapping them. Spread ⅓ cup cheese over each section.
- Using a little bit of water, wet around the edges so it will stick together. Gently pull up the sides and pinch together well. Pinch the ends closed.
- Repeat until you have three "braids" ready. Pinch ends together.
- Very carefully braid the three strands together and pinch the ends together, then tuck the ends under the bread.
- If one of the sections opens, just pinch back together.
- In a small bowl mix the butter and garlic salt together.
- Gently brush or spoon butter over the bread.
- Until covered.
- Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Check the bread and see if it is golden brown. Bake an additional 5 minutes if needed.
- Remove and slice bread. Serve with more spaghetti sauce.
Notes
- Pizza Dough - Feel free to use homemade pizza dough instead of store-bought pizza crust.
- Pasta Sauce - Out of pizza sauce? Pasta sauce or marinara sauce will work instead.
- Butter - If you don't have unsalted butter on hand, salted butter will work instead.
- Spicy - add chili pepper flakes to your pizza sauce for a spicy kick to your pizza bread or sprinkle some jalapeno slices or diced jalapeno peppers on your pizza.
- Deluxe - add addtional toppings like peppers and onions for a tasty recipe.
- Kid friendly - skip the pepperoni and just use cheese if you have picky eaters.
