Ingredients
BROWNIES
- 2 boxes (18 ounces, each) brownie mixes (I like to use the Betty Crocker Supreme Chocolate Chunk mixes)
- + eggs, oil, and water called for on boxes
CHOCOLATE PUDDING
- 2 boxes (3.9 ounces, each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4 cups cold milk
WHIPPED CREAM
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ Tablespoons vanilla extract
- chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
FOR BROWNIES
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Spray two 8-inch OR two 9-inch square baking pans with cooking spray. Stir brownie mixes, eggs, oil, and water together in a large bowl until combined. Divide batter and spread out evenly among the two pans. *Bake as directed per instructions on the boxes* Carefully remove from the oven. Let brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
FOR CHOCOLATE PUDDING
- Pour the pudding mixes and 4 cups of cold milk into a large bowl. Blend together with a whisk for a few minutes or until pudding thickens. Cover and place pudding in the fridge to chill before assembling the trifle.
FOR WHIPPED CREAM
- Place the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric hand-mixer until the cream reaches stiff peaks. Place whipped cream in fridge until ready to use.
ASSEMBLE
- In a large glass dessert bowl, add one layer of brownies, one layer of fresh whipped cream, and one layer of chocolate pudding. Repeat layers again with the brownies, whipped cream, and chocolate pudding. Top it all off with the whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Serve and enjoy!
