Instructions
- Air fry the fries for 15 minutes at 400 degrees F.
- While they cook, melt the butter in the microwave and stir in the hot sauce and brown sugar.
- Toss the fries with the Buffalo sauce, then put them back in the air fryer and cook for another 2 minutes at 400 degrees F.
- Serve with crumbled blue cheese and blue cheese dressing or ranch.
Notes
- Don't overcrowd the air fryer, as this will result in soggy, unevenly cooked fries. Instead, work in batches if necessary and give the fries plenty of space to crisp up on all sides.
- If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the fries in the oven at 425°F for about 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Then coat them and put them back in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
- Waffle fries, curly fries, or even sweet potato fries would all be delicious with this buffalo sauce. Just keep in mind that cooking times may vary depending on the type of fry you use.
- As written, these fries are about a medium-high level of spiciness, but you can easily adjust the heat level to your liking. If you're sensitive to spice, start with less hot sauce and add more to taste. Or go wild and add an extra splash or two of hot sauce.
