Description

Ingredients
- 3 potato chopped, medium
- 1/2 cabbage shredded, small head
- 1 lb bone-in meat pork or beef
- 2 tbsp beef bouillon base Better Than Bullion brand
- 2 tbsp neutral cooking oil avocado or olive, generic cooking oil
- 1 onion chopped, small
- 1 carrot grated, large
- 10 oz diced tomatoes canned
- 1 tbsp salt adjust to taste
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces. Shred the cabbage.
- Rinse the meat under cold water. In a large soup pot, bring 4 quarts of water to boil. Add the meat and Better Than Bouillon Beef Base and cook for 30 minutes.
- Add the potatoes and cabbage, simmer for 10 minutes.
- Chop the onion, and grate the carrot. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions with a little bit of oil until golden brown. Add the shredded carrot and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the can of diced tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the meat pieces from the soup. Add the meat back into the soup, discard of the bone.
- Season to taste with salt. Serve immediately and enjoy!
