Cajun Shrimp

Cajun Shrimp is a quick and easy seafood dish of tender, juicy shrimp tossed in a homemade seasoning with bold spices and sauteed in butter.

Cajun Seasoning:

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme

Shrimp:

  • 2 pounds Shrimp , peeled and deveined (13-15 count)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup parsley , finely minced

Instructions

Cajun Seasoning:

  1. In a small bowl add salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano and thyme and mix well with a fork.

Shrimp:

  1. Season the shrimp with the cajun seasoning.
  2. Add butter to a large heavy skillet, heat to high.
  3. Cook in small batches, 2 minutes on each side.
  4. Serve with rice, garnish with finely minced parsley and lemon wedges.
