Calamansi Juice Recipe

Ingredients

Servings

For 1 liter (4 glasses):

  • 20-24 pieces calamansi for juice
  • 4 pieces calamansi for garnish (optional)
  • ½ - ¾ cup sugar
  • 4 cups water room temperature
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 4 pieces mint leaves optional

For 1 glass:

  • 5-6 pieces calamansi
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup Ice cubes
  • mint leaves optional

Instructions

  1. Wash the calamansi thoroughly then cut each into half across the segments.
  2. Place a strainer on top of a pitcher/glass.
  3. Use your thumb and index finger or use a lemon/calamansi squeezer to squeeze out 20-24 calamansi juice and run it through the strainer.
  4. Add the sugar and pour in half of the water. Stir until completely dissolved.
  5. Add the rest of the water and stir again.
  6. Add the remaining calamansi halves to the pitcher.
  7. For added flavor, lightly crush or pound the mint leaves with the flat of a knife. Add this to the pitcher of calamansi juice.
  8. To serve add ½ cup of ice cubes on a glass then fill it with the calamansi juice.
