Candy Bar Cookie Bars

Candy bar cookie bars use up all that extra chocolate you have laying around your house and turn them into delicious treats you’ll love!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cups chocolate chips
  • 10 ounces Fun size or Whole candy bars This is approximate you can feel free to add as much or as little candy as you like!

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan with non-stick spray.
  3. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt stirring until it is well mixed.
  4. In the bowl of your mixer add the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract and creamed together until well combined.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well in between each.
  6. Add the flour to the mixer one cup at a time slowly mixing it into the dough.
  7. Add the chocolate chips to the dough and fold in with a spoon or spatula.
  8. Spread the dough evenly in the greased pan.
  9. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. After 15 minutes remove the pan from the oven and add the candy bars on top. You can add them as whole candies or you can chop them into pieces, whichever you prefer.
  11. Bake for an additional 5-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Cool pan on a wire rack and cut into squares.

  • Note: Nutritional value based on Snickers candy bar. If you are using another candy you will need to recalculate.
