These cute caprese skewers with balsamic glaze make for a fun appetizer or finger food. Easy to make with a few simple ingredients, they are a fresh and tasty bite that your friends and family will love!

Ingredients
- 36 red cherry tomatoes
- 24 bite sized fresh mozzarella balls
- 36 Small basil leaves
- 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 1 /2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- salt and pepper to taste
- 12 8-inch skewers

Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. Add the mozzarella balls to the bowl and toss them to coat.
- Thread the tomatoes, basil and mozzarella balls onto the skewers alternating between them. (You need 3 tomatoes, 3 basil leaves and 2 mozzarella balls per skewer.)
- Arrange caprese skewers on a serving platter or store them in the fridge covered until ready to serve.
- Place the balsamic glaze in a small plastic bag with one corner snipped off. Drizzle the balsamic over the skewers, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use fresh ingredients. Use ripe cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella balls for the best mini Caprese skewers.
- Drizzle the glaze just before serving. The first time I made them too far in advance, the glaze soaked into the mozzarella, and while still delicious, they didn’t have that fresh, glossy finish!
- Cover in the fridge. If you are making the tomato mozzarella basil skewers ahead of time, keep them covered in the fridge so that the mozzarella doesn't dry out.
