Cardamom is a flavorful spice that’s used to add flavor to a variety of dishes. One of the easiest ways to enjoy cardamom is in hot tea. This tea has a pleasant spicy flavor that’s a delicious blend of cardamom, clove, and ginger.

- 6 green cardamom pods
- 2 cups water
- 4 cloves
- 1 inch fresh ginger root peeled and sliced
- 2 black tea bags or tea leaves
- sugar to taste
- Optional milk or lemon slices for serving

Instructions
- In a tea pot or small saucepan, add the water, cardamom, cloves and ginger slices. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the black tea and remove from the heat. Stir and cover to steep to your liking.
- Strain into cups and serve with sliced lemon. Sweeten with honey if desired or add a splash of milk.
