Ingredients

  • 3 cups dry long grain rice
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 cup cilantro (chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a medium size pot, combine 3 cups rice with 6 cups water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Once you have a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes until most of the water is absorbed.
  3. Remove from heat. Add garlic salt and chopped cilantro.
  4. Squeeze the lime over rice. Stir.
  5. Add lid and let sit for 5 minutes.

Notes

  • *Refrigerate the leftovers in an air tight container for up to 5-7 days. 
  • *You can also freeze the rice in a freezer bag for up to 2-3 months.
