  • cup tapioca pearls cooked
  • ¾ cup water boiling
  • 2 bags black tea
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon coffee optional
  • 1 cup plant-based milk 1 cup
  • ice (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, add the ½ cup of boiling water and tea bag. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags, add the sugar, cocoa powder, coffee (if using). Whisk until fully combined.
  3. Add the tapioca pearls to a glass, then add plenty of ice if using, the tea cocoa mixture, plant-based milk, and stir. Taste and add more sugar if needed.

Notes

  • Chill the tea quickly by shaking with ice.
  • Adjust creaminess by varying types and amounts of plant-based milk or creamer.
