These Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats are perfect for anyone who loves chocolate, peanut butter and Rice Krispies!! Made without marshmallows and sweetened with honey, this no-bake treat is a winning combination that's totally delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips, semisweet
  • ¾ cup liquid honey
  • 1 cup peanut butter, smooth
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup salted peanuts optional
  • ½ cup Toffee bits optional
  • butter or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare a 9x9 pan with butter or cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Combine peanut butter and honey in a large heavy saucepan on your lowest heat, stirring often, until melted.
  3. Bring to a gentle boil and remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
  4. Add cereal and peanuts (if you are using) and gently stir until well coated.
  5. Press into pan.
  6. Sprinkle with toffee bits if using. Refrigerate until cool and firm, about 2 hours. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Double or Triple Batch. This peanut butter chocolate rice krispie treats recipe can easily be doubled or even tripled. Simply use a larger rectangle pan.
  • Want A Less a Firm Texture? You can make softer and more gooey bars by reducing the amount of Rice Krispies by a ¼ or ½ cup less.
  • Grease Your Fingers. Use greased fingers or a greased rubber spatula to make it easier to press the treats into the pan.
  • Don't Press Too Firmly. This may cause the treats to become compacted.
